Prone vs. Supine

These two words are often used by authors, and if you’re won­der­ing about the dif­fer­ences, here’s the short version:

PRONE:  recumbent/lying face-down, fr/Latin pro-nus, lean­ing for­ward (think ther­a­peu­tic massage)

SUPINE: recumbent/lying on one’s back (think “supine/spine”)
